Every day when you wake up and look at your life or your business, do you see the problems, the dangers the worries or the opportunity?
What you want to see is what you will see. We have programmed ourselves to look at the world through colored glasses. It’s happened by default and copying other people around us. Maybe it’s time to choose how you WANT to see things. What would be in your best interest?
Take a mental inventory: Do you spend your time thinking about all the dangers, or is your mind open to the possibilities around you?
When you look at a possible investment do you get stuck in analysis and all the things that could go wrong?
When looking at real estate do you see a building falling apart or an opportunity to maybe buy it at a great price, fix it up, and sell it at market rate?
The opportunities are everywhere but are you open to seeing them?
Of course you have to be realistic. Rose-colored glasses also won’t lead to lasting success.
Everything comes with challenges and possibilities.
But notice, I don’t’ use the word problem. I use challenge.
So, what’s the answer? Balance!
Are you overly positive, getting yourself involved in too many projects but never see them through?. Or do you worry too much to actually get started?
What are the challenges, what are the possibilities? Look at both columns.
Practice removing yourself from your worries and make a rational decision based on the evidence before you.
Be aware of your own filter. Balance is the key!
What do you see? The opportunities are everywhere!
